Completed in 2012, The Granary at Upper Baggeridge Farm is a four bedroom detached barn. Formerly a threshing barn dating from the 18th Century, the property has been sensitively refurbished to retain much of its original character.
With natural stone walls inside and out, the Grade II listed building has many traditional features including flagstone floors, seasoned oak timber lintels, windows and doors, and old olive plank tongue and groove flooring. This is complemented by the extensive use of renewable energy, where features such as a ground source heat pump and a water spring make it an ecologically sound renovation. The Granary was purchased by the founder of localgiving.com Marcelle Speller, who starred on Channel 4’s Secret Millionaire.
